62 or Older Program

Individuals wishing to enroll in Georgia Tech under the Board of Regent's 62-or-Older Program must be legal residents of Georgia and must submit the following documents:

  • a completed application: If you have never taken college level courses you will apply as a freshman. If at some point you have taken college classes you will apply as a transfer. Apply Online
  • Non-Degree Applicant Permission Form, If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, download it free here.
  • a birth certificate or other acceptable and comparable written documentation of age
  • high school transcript
  • transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
  • SAT scores, if required

Applicants will be required to submit an information sheet indicating their plan of study.

Students interested in taking a Modern Language On-line course will need to fill out the Modern Language Transient Permission Permit and submit it with the documents listed above.

Applicants must meet all regular admission requirements.

Individuals accepted under this program may enroll without the payment of matriculation fees but only on a "space available" basis. All other required fees must be paid (transportation, technology, and any other fees that are applicable).

Students enrolled under this program may attend as a regular or auditing student on a "space available" basis and must meet all Institute requirements and prerequisites for course(s) scheduled, regardless of the basis of enrollment.

Students enrolled under this program may use the following student services by paying the appropriate fee as required:

Athletic Events Student Activities
Library Student Center
Parking Student Health

Student enrolled under this program may use the following student services on a "space available" basis:

Campus Housing
Student Athletic Complex
Married Student Housing

For several years we have turned away qualified regular applicants for: Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science. Courses in these schools may not be open to individuals enrolled under this program.

In addition, since all freshman mathematics, English, and science courses are filled with regular degree seeking students, these courses are generally not available under this program.
