Advanced Placement
Before progressing to advanced courses in your major, you must complete basic course requirements in chemistry, physics, math, English, social studies, and the humanities. But you may find you're already well prepared in some areas, making it repetitious to take certain courses at the college level. That's where advanced placement can benefit you. By demonstrating your knowledge of a subject, you may exempt designated courses for academic credit or advanced class standing.
